Every once in a while, someone has the bright idea or rounding them up and feeding them to the foodless. One of the photos shows the aftermath of a rabbit hunt. Apparently in some years the jackrabbits would be especially prolific & the whole town would hunt them -- the photo shows children, old women, everyone holding clubs, surrounded by dead rabbits.

This is the only similar pic I could find: http://terriermandotcom.blogspot.com/2006/02/jack-rabbit-history.htmlJennifer (ponderosa)https://www.blogger.com/profile/17712875613623664156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9799907.post-37404244370382415172009-06-29T13:40:58.170-04:002009-06-29T13:40:58.170-04:00Wow. They wouldn't tell me which was which and I couldn't tell the differance. Was so grossed out by the event that I didn't eat fried chicken for years.

So, my vote is no for serving the bunnies. :)nimiecathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12162284571872817372noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9799907.post-25240848501353504182009-06-28T14:38:44.909-04:002009-06-28T14:38:44.909-04:00I'd say Alfred Hitchcock missed a trick there....I'd say Alfred Hitchcock missed a trick there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9799907.post-63742078662207520942009-06-28T09:27:22.471-04:002009-06-28T09:27:22.471-04:00What's creepy is that so many people are irres...What's creepy is that so many people are irresponsible, as far as taking responsibility for their pets.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9799907.post-41500656502461593562009-06-28T08:56:20.991-04:002009-06-28T08:56:20.991-04:00Our university is like that with squirrels and als...Our university is like that with squirrels and also we have a few tame rabbits. But, we also have red tail hawks and every once in a while, they tire of eating the pigeons and will swoop down, sometimes in front of me, and grab one of the friendly rodents. The first time, I was traumatized by this brutal evidence of survival, but now, I just keep right on walking.zelda1https://www.blogger.com/profile/04212809913449846878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9799907.post-24377256560597036052009-06-28T08:07:12.315-04:002009-06-28T08:07:12.315-04:00I'm going with creepy. Eating them, though (says another veggie), would be even more creepy. It's like when I lived on Iona and the day lambs were taken away was one of the 2 meat days of the week and it happened to be lamb.
