Migraine

An alien slug creeps into my head, slithering through the ear, spreads its slimy grey body across the inside of my head, then twists all the parts behind my eyeballs, expanding and contracting so that my thoughts bang against the inside of my skull and the room around me spins and spins, shoving me into some alternate universe.

  7. I had one yesterday too. I like to think of it as someone stabbing you with ice picks.

Hope we both feel better soon!

  9. Ice packs. Makes the slug leave. Also helps with the nausea.

I hope you feel better soon.

  11. oooooo

hurts just to read that incredible description!

I do hope you recover soon, because I have a feeling there won't be any magnificent jam sessions as long as your head hurts. And that would be sad all around.

  13. Thanks, everyone. My head is feeling better now. (I wrote the post when I was recovering from the migraine -- no way could I look at a computer screen in the midst of a migraine.)

  14. Ugh. Migraines: the band of my existence!

I hate that alien slug with a passion! Only, mine likes to play the tympani drums while accompanied by sledghammered pianos and jack hammers a la "The Art Of Noise."

Glad you're feeling better, but sorry that you had a slug run-in in the first place.
