Picnic table in November

Before it disappears

It's become a tradition for me to post a photo of my picnic table in November, before it disappears beneath drifts of snow.

    Born in the Midwest and now stuck out west, we see snow like this only if we travel to the Sierra Nevada. As a cold-weather person, I miss winter days: the silence, the grayness, the snow itself.
