Leaving campus

Leaving campus

The library on campus was closed today. I used my access card to slip in the back entrance and walk through the empty rooms, past all the round tables and shelves of books. In my office, I cleared off my desk and filed folders from last semester. Then I put a sign on the door and locked it. I didn't see a single other person as I walked the snowy sidewalks back to my car. I won't return until August. I'm officially on sabbatical now.

  4. I love that photo. Something about the softness of the snow against the metal, I think.

  5. jo(e), I came across your blog several months ago and have followed your adventures regularly since then, posting comments occasionally, and reading your comments on my blog occasionally. I totally enjoy reading your entries and seeing your pictures. You are very talented at both. I hope your book goes well this year, and I am sure you will keep us posted on your progress.

  7. Till AUGUST!!!!!
Wow. That is utterly awesome, and completely unlike the UK system, where you might get a term (ie till Easter) but very rarely any longer.
Enjoy...the sleep, the space, the creativity.

  11. Cool.

Now you'll have to train your car not to take that familiar route.
