For the camera

As PPB pointed out in the comments of a recent post, our striped grey cat Gretel is a camera hog. It's hard, actually, to take any kind of photo inside my house without a cat in the photo, but Gretel is the cat who sneaks into photos most often. I have very few photos of Salem, our shy black cat, and most people who come to the house never even see her. She's never appeared on my blog; like my husband, she's a very private creature. But recently, Rachel, our striped orange cat, has been posing for pictures. I think she's looking for equal time.

Adorable! She looks like she could be the twin of Dumb Cat, who is also a camera hog.

How is it that your kids get names like Shaggy Hair and your cats get people names like Gretel and Rachel?

Her fur matches the color of the table. Wait, is she a polydactl?

She's beautiful!!! Especially with those extra-toes... I'd love to see her with my extra-toed (formerly) boy kitty....

I've never seen an organge tabby that was a girl!!! I thought they were always males. Just like calico's are always girls.

Our cats always pose nicely for the camera. They are not shy. Love the bright orange kitty! We wanted one that color but ended up with a creamier off-white/light orange...

rachel is gorgeous! and the green eyes! the extra toes! pink nose! owning the perfect backdrop!

cats are just so funny. rachel must be very relaxed -- she neither tried to hide, nor ran for you in an effort to play.

That's funny - our black cat is also very private and we have few photos, but our orange boy hams it up for the camera. Rachel is beautiful.

Yellow females are supposed to be unusual. We have one, named Cassie, and the vet seemed really surprized. Rachel looks a bit like you, actually!

Is there a connection between extra digits and orange tiger kitties? I've known several that were blessed in that fashion.
