I hate how quickly it gets dark on a November evening. No matter how spectacular the sunset (and I snapped this one through a car window), it's hard to enjoy when it happens at 4:30 pm. I keep thinking that I should embrace the dark evenings of fall and enjoy the cozy evenings by the fire, but the truth is that I just keep thinking about how wonderful the long days of summer are.
We've had a little snow already, but what we really need is a foot or so, enough to cover the ground, create snowbanks along the roads, and make the night world brighter with all of that white.

Totally agree. I hate how early it get dark!
We battle with the dark demons here, the shorter days seeming to extinguish, along with the light, our joy.
My only thought it to try to nest and make a game of it. It doesn't always work.
I agree! This in between time is always tough...but then I am a hibernator being denied her hibernation. :)
I haven't had a whole lot of time to do any recreational reading lately. Decided in the midst of writing a final report for one of my classes I'd take a break and take a peek in on Blogger. I almost forgot just how easily you can transport your audience to another place. I just adore your writing...and just as equally, your photography! Thanks for another fantastic post. (As always)!
Hey, Sass -- nice to get a comment from you! Thanks for the compliment. I hope things are going well in your part of the world.
