When I got home from work today, I realized that something was different: the sun was shining. It was still light out. And everywhere, snow was melting. Wet snow slid from tree branches. The banks along the driveway were shrinking. When I walked to the creek, I saw water instead of ice.

I noticed it was still light when we ate supper. The snow is really melting here too.
Have a good day.
We are gaining three and a half minutes of light every single day here in the upper corner of the country! Love it! :-)
Spring is coming!
I saw that too!
How come you've been gone since October? :-( I thought we had agreed we'd be the last bloggers standing! ;-) Glad you're back, though. Nov. 8 put a damper in lots of things, didn't it? And now it's just utter chaos and craziness.
Well, good to see you back here!
Looks like winter is leaving :)
Unusual weather here too, It has warmed up quite a bit and not like February at all.
I'm so happy to see a new post from you jo(e)! Here in the mid atlantic it feels like winter never got started....I'd really like a nice snowstorm!
By the way...I came to your blog today to search for a soup recipe you posted in December 2009. I am happy to report that my home is currently filled with the aroma of a lovely CSA leftovers soup!
Oh, homemade soup! That sounds like a great idea.
The light, the light! Hurray for the return of the sun! Glad to see a post here too.
We just noted the light after supper this weekend too. Lifts the spirits a bit.
