It's snowing today. The air is cold and moist, and it felt good to breathe it deeply as I walked through the woods. A swamp is lovely during a spring snow. The white outlines the high spots, and the bugs haven't hatched yet. I'm lucky, during this time of quarantine, to have acres of land to roam each morning.

That's beautiful. You are lucky indeed. Hope all your family is safe.
snow!!! we had none this winter!! looks like mud season!! enjoy your walks!!
Very, very lucky.
Any connection to the wild world is a blessing. Just my little city garden is a source of great joy for me. Hoping no more snow here, since I want to get planting.
Swamps get a bad rap, with a negative connotation to the word itself, but they can be full of beauty and yours is no exception.
I agree that those of us who can roam a bit during this are lucky indeed. It's a lovely photo.
An unexpected conjunction - snow and mud as far as the eye can see. I'm beholden to you. I never expected that combination, any more than seeing Santa Claus stopping off for a swift one at the pub.
Evoking too the hideous fate of Carver Doone in R.D.Blackmore's classic which I'm sure you've read. In my case over seventy years ago. Seventy years, lawks a'mussie! Empires have risen and fallen within such a time span but memory - I'm glad to say - may endure.
It's a beautiful property. How wonderful to be able to walk there during this time of self isolation.
