You're not alone here in the wee hours. I'm thankful to have such good company, selfish as that may be. (And it cheers me up to know while it's still dark night here on the west coast, you're already shoveling snow or something by now.)

Take comfort that you are not the only one up in the wee hours, prowling the house in order to keep the wolves at bay. Take care of yourself. (o)

Only 12 days left, and every day brings more light.

I was noticing today that 4:20 pm isn't as dark as it was a few weeks ago. The sun is coming back.

I started a personal blog to write about parenting stuff outside of the library at http://sandycovetrail.blogspot.com. Come on by!

sending you good thoughts and a big hug.

Or, in Sicilian, "Pensi cosi bonni..." (I have a friend who is Sicilian and likes to say that to me when I'm down. It means, as I'm sure you know, "think good things..." and I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong. It sounds very beautiful and musical when he says it.)

i'm like madeline...i love being cocoon'ed in my covers. i love meditations and self explorations in the middle of the night and would love to have even more time to be in bed.

but i like kate5kiwi's comment best of all...how lovely that she can write your name in the sand and enjoy the sunshine for the rest of us.

take heart...the promise of spring is present with us.

Hope you've found ways to get some rest and to take care of yourself.
