A bit of summer

DSC_0109

Usually I go to Southern State in March for some spring weather. But this year, it felt more like summer. Temperatures soared into the high 70s, and I wore shorts when I went out to take a walk. Drifts of yellow pollen covered the benches in the courtyard, and bright flowers blossomed along the paths.

It's been warm here too in the Midwest. Crazy weather.

Wow! Our azaleas are no where near ready to bloom here in the mid-atlantic. Though, almost everything else is in full bloom!

oh, this is azalea season in the southeast! the photo takes me right back to charleston SC, where there are (were?) places with thousands of azalea bushes -- but anyone could have a few in the yard.

It has already been in the 80s for a while here. It is getting hot walking back across campus to my car in the afternoons...hard to believe it is going to get about 35 degress hotter than this in the next few months! Ugh.

beautiful--we have some like this in our yard.

I'm sure they were better there though.

Come see us some times.
