In hot humid weather, we welcome storms. When a wind began bending the flowers in the garden and dark blue clouds moved across the treetops, my kids ran outside to feel the coolness. They were hoping for rain. But instead, inexplicably, the sun began shining, even though we could see storm clouds. "Look at our shadows!" Shaggy Hair Boy yelled, and they began dancing, all at the same time, while their shadows moved across the lawn.

It looks like they are having as much fun as the beekeeper monk :) I love playing in the rain still, especially in the summer.
Wild pagan shaggy beasties.
I wish I could have joined in the dance.
( I was just reminded of that book Where The Wild Things Are).
good thing you are always ready with the camera....
they look like they are a part of the weather.
They are great and so is your picture. The Princess and I had all we could do to open an umbrella...
How are your kids this cool? I know no one in that age group (particularly the eldest two) who would do the same thing.
I think it's pretty cool that they're still in touch with the wild and imaginative sides of themselves.
And I like the picture, too, particularly the dark sky in the background.
Wow, I love that picture. You really can't get that blue anywhere/time else.
Oh my gosh! This reminds me so much of my kiddos and their friends. At my blog there is a photo 4 or so posts down that goes hand in hand with this one. See if you don't agree.
This is pure fun...and I love that dark sky in the distance.
