The weather has crazy mood swings this time of year: bright sunshine one minute, a loud thunderstorm the next, and sometimes bursts of hail that bounce white pebbles off the hood of my car. At the monastery, a big storm sent dark clouds rolling across the sheep pastures. Inside the little guest cottage, I wrote in my journal and drank hot tea while I listened to rain hitting glass. Afterwards, I walked through a landscape that smelled like broken blossoms.

This constantly changing weather drives my wife (a southerner) crazy, but I love it, and can't imagine living somewhere where the weather's the same all the time. So while it's pouring outside now, I know that in a couple hours it'll be sunny and clear.
I love rainbows and this is such a pretty one. really nice shot and sounds a perfect way to spend a day.
Beautiful!
"Smelling like broken blossoms" reminded me of a wine tasting I once attended. The host pointed out the flavor of cracked peppercorns in one sample. I thought, "You can taste the cracks?"
this picture is almost eerily beautiful and well composed.... especially the way the circle of the rainbow seems to continue into the diagonal lines of the fence.
That picture is amazingly beautiful.
broken blossoms - what a lovely aroma :) great photo too.
blessings xx
