Sunday afternoon

Sunday afternoon

Boy in Black, Shaggy Hair Boy, and Blue-eyed Ultimate Player are driving back from an Ultimate tournament, a trip that included a visit to Blonde Niece. Beautiful Smart Wonderful Daughter is on a train back to Bison City. Free Spirit has headed home, still wearing her elf ears. My husband is at the grocery store. With-a-Why is doing homework.

The sunlight on the hammock in the backyard beckons. This could be the last sunny afternoon before winter. Soon I'll be taking the traditional blog photos of my backyard filled with snow. A nap in the sun would be so perfect after a busy weekend.

But I've got papers to grade. Sigh.

I hope you took the nap . . .

Grading... I don't miss it one single bit! I guess that actually there's not too much that I miss from teaching. I did love the relief after the semester was over and grades turned in :-).

Readersguide: Nope. I took the photo and then went back to grading papers. To be honest, it was really a bit cold for a nap.

This shot is lovely! I like the light & shadows and the sky and the trees and the greens and blues and yellows.

I'm really enjoying your photography.

That hammock looks really inviting!...Maybe a fluffy comforter with it to stay warm?

sometimes I'd grade in the hammock. esp when it was online papers in the notepad.

Funny, when I saw the photo, I thought "Huh, where's that? It can't be jo(e)'s yard...that has more snow." Then I read the post. :)

Darn those papers.

I'm with Kris and Rev Dr. Mom - big fluffy comforter and a lap desk, and you could easily grade and sit in the hammock. :)
