The end of April is a busy time, with the semester ending, deadlines for conference proposals and reports approaching. Perhaps the most valuable part of spending the weekend at the monastery is that I had time for an afternoon nap.
Today BubTar asked me what my favorite thing to do is and I said, "Sleep." He looked at me like I was nuts and asked me why. I said that I don't get to sleep much and that makes a nap seem like a very special treat. He thought the idea of ENJOYING a nap was the craziest thing he's ever heard of.
