Arch

Arch

That's me in the photo. After a long drive, we'd just arrived in a national park famous for natural arches.

Ooooh... it wouldn't happen to be the park written about by Edward Abbey, would it? I would be so jealous if it were.

I like this one so much, I want to be in it.
Would be a great travel brochure kind of shot.

Ah, I've been there! (Sinking into the rocks with heat exhaustion, but it was August, after all.)

One of my favorite places in the world. Isn't the red astonishing?

Overeducated Twit: Yes, it's the park made famous by Edward Abbey.

And yes, historyprof0, the red is just so amazing. I come from a landscape where the rocks are grey, so all that red rock just seems stunning to me.
