I get knocked down, I get up again

I get knocked down, I get up again

A skier putting his skis back on after a fall. A friend of mine always says that if you never fall, that means you aren't pushing yourself enough.

I think this just made me cry.

I pushed myself very hard today and feel like I did too much. I'm exhausted. But I have always been afraid of falling. I'm just going to have to get used to it.

I'm planning a blog carnival at The Other Mother. You are so invited. http://tinyurl.com/bzdzrt

Ouch - that's why I don't ski (that and the lack of snow and mountains where I live!).

It's not the falling that's hard. It's the getting up again. (I'm sure that's true, though.)

My dad used to say, "If you never fall out of car, you're not leaning out the window far enough."

And if your car never spontaneously bursts into flame -- oh, wait.

Now I have that song stuck in my head, probably for the rest of the evening!
