Tethered

Tethered

A child learning to ski, safely tied to his parent as they go down the slope.

What a great idea.

The child wouldn't be safe if I were the skiing parent. It's been about 13 years since I've been on skis. Not much call for them where I've been living, unfortunately, as I really enjoyed the few times I went- except for the cold part.

My daughter is just now confident enough with speed that we'll use the tether on her.

The real value of the tether? It's attached to a pack that wraps around the child. The pack has a handle. All children should have handles : )

Jennifer: I used to think that about the life jackets we'd get that had a handle on the back. It made it so much easier to corral a wandering child ...

Ha! I love it!

I think I need one of those for myself (of course, I would be in the child's place b/c skiing freaks me out!).
