First green

Woods in April

The whole world has paused, it seems, but that hasn't stopped the seasons from changing. On this morning's walk through the woods, it was snowing, but I could also see green everywhere, ferns and mayflowers and trilliums, and buds just beginning to open on trees.

I find comfort in the seasons ignoring our concerns.

I'm longing to see that spring green on the trees -- where it just looks like bits of bright green have been sprinkled over all the trees, that beautiful, favorite color of mine! So glad it has come to your woods.

So beautiful.
The weather has been so strange: rain, then warm, warm days then buckets of snow. Still we are all getting out and walking down to the lake no matter what. Wonderful to see the little changes every day.

This whole year has been surreal , to say it mildly. I haven't been online blog wise in overa year. Still, it's heartening to see the lovely photos of spring in your posts.
